Born From A Storage Facility Owner's Needs
SS Solar was born out of a real-world challenge faced by storage facility owners. Frustrated by the issues caused by traditional electricity use, including tenant power theft, breaker tripping, and unhappy tenants, a forward-thinking storage management company partnered with SS Solar to develop a better solution.
Imagine the scenario: a tenant plugs in an appliance that overloads the circuit, tripping the breaker and leaving them (and potentially other tenants) in the dark. This not only disrupts their access to belongings but also creates an additional burden on facility staff who need to reset the breaker and address all the tenants affected. Every storage facility owner knows a horror story where a tenant resorted to unsafe practices like stealing power from the facility, creating a potential safety hazard or liability issue.
Innovation Driven By Industry Needs
The experiences of seasoned storage facility owners highlighted a clear problem – the traditional approach to providing tenants electricity wasn’t working. We didn’t come from outside the industry trying to sell something “storage facilities need.” This was about identifying a pain point and developing a product specifically designed to address it. This wasn’t a solution dreamt up in a boardroom by people unfamiliar with the day-to-day challenges of storage facilities. Working firsthand with a storage facility owner who had extensive experience with the problems caused by traditional electricity use, we knew there had to be a better way.
SS Solar and our Smart Trickle Charger system emerged as the answer, a testament to the power of listening to industry needs and working collaboratively to find innovative solutions.
